About Us
Making Pacific People Seen With Honour
Nesian Kulture creates premium Pacific identity wear for the diaspora carrying home across oceans.
We are a Pacific-led, family-built brand creating apparel, accessories, and limited drops that carry meaning, memory, and modern Pacific presence.
Founded by Susan Selu Johansson, a Tongan woman raised with family, culture, and responsibility, NK was built with her husband Feeros Elz as more than a store.
It became a place for Pacific people to feel seen.
Not as a trend.
Not as decoration.
Not through stories told from the outside.
But as people with names, families, islands, values, and stories worth carrying forward.
Why NK Exists
For many Pacific Islanders living away from their ancestral islands, home is not only a place.
It lives in family tables, church halls, food, language, music, sport, memory, and the values passed down before us.
NK exists to make that visible.
For the diaspora carrying identity in everyday life.
For mixed families still connected to their roots.
For the next generation learning what was passed down.
For respectful supporters who understand that culture must be handled with care.
What We Create
Nesian Kulture creates premium identity wear, limited drops, and meaningful everyday pieces shaped by Pacific culture, modern design, and Susan’s own creative eye.
Susan’s designs are her modern expression of what she sees, studies, feels, and carries as a Tongan woman creating for Pacific people today.
Some pieces carry bold island influence through patterns, colour, artwork, or detail.
Others are cleaner, softer, or more minimal, carrying identity through the name, message, fit, colour, and feeling of the piece.
NK is where Pacific influence meets contemporary design.
Not costume culture.
Not tourist fashion.
Not careless copying.
A modern Pacific brand built with respect, restraint, and honour.
Our products are not made to chase trends.
They are made to represent identity in today’s world.
Every design must answer a clear question:
What does this piece carry?
Who is it made for?
What feeling does it represent?
Why does it belong in NK?
If a piece has no meaning, no identity, and no reason to exist, it does not belong in NK.
Who NK Is For
NK serves Pacific people first, especially those living across Australia, New Zealand, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Europe, and beyond.
It is for Islanders carrying home away from home.
It is also for mixed-culture families and respectful supporters who understand the meaning behind what they wear.
You do not need to be Pacific to respect Pacific people.
But you do need to understand that NK is built from identity, not trend.
Our Mission
Our mission is to make Pacific people seen, respected, and represented with honour.
Through clothing, storytelling, art, and design, NK exists to strengthen belonging across the diaspora and help carry Pacific identity forward.
Our Vision
We are building toward a future where Pacific culture stands with strength on the global stage.
Not watered down.
Not over-explained.
Not treated as an aesthetic.
Recognised with dignity.
Carried with honour.
Passed forward to the next generation.
Join The Movement
When you wear Nesian Kulture, you are not just wearing a product.
You are carrying a story.
